What Do You Know About Us?

l Date of Establishment:

The  faculty was established in the academic year of 1980/1981,

 

l Faculty Locations:

-     The  Faculty is located at the faculties' compound in Shebin

       El-Kom City. This compound includes

       ( Faculty of commerce , Faculty of Science , Faculty of Art,

   Faculty of law,  and  Faculty of Computers  and Information ) .

 

l Faculty Buildings:

  The building consists of four floors plus

       the ground floor, the library and the link network room .

       The building includes the following :

 -   Four big theaters allocated for lectures, with the capacity of 1500 students for 

     each one.      

 -  16 classrooms allocated for applications, with the capacity of 120 students  for

     each one     .

-    Rooms for the faculty Administration, academic teaching staff members ,

     assistant staff and administrative staff .

-    Three computer labs and one language lab.

-    One technology club.

-    One siminar room.

-    One separate floor for controls.

-    A lovely garden.

 

 

l Faculty Administration:

It should be noted that the students are allowed to choose the

 academic path they want in the fourth year except the economics

 path which starts in the second year .

l Number of Postgraduate Students (2006/2007: 414; Diploma (163),

     Master (199), and Ph.D. (52). 

l Number of Teaching Staff Members (2006/2007): 39.

l Number of Assistant  Staff Members (2006/2007): 48.

l Number of non-academic staff (2006/2007): 258. 

 

l Awarding Degrees:

The Faculty Currently awards the following academic degrees:

-         B.A in (Business Administration, and Accounting).

-         Master Degree in (Business Administration, Accounting,

           Economics, Insurance, and Statistics).

-         Ph.D. Degree in (Business Administration, Accounting, Economics,

           Insurance and Statistics).

    "Faculty of Commerce, as one of the faculties of Menoufia University, is an educational, research, and societal institution. The faculty provides excellent graduates who are qualified in terms of knowledge, skills, and professionalism in the areas of management, accounting, economics, insurance, and statistics in order to meet the needs and requirements of the work labor in both the production and services segments at the local, national, and international levels. The faculty also seeks to make the continuous learning opportunities available to its graduates and others through its postgraduate programs and to develop the local and national society via its unique and competent academic staff and employees, by offering high quality services in training, consultancies, and research".
